BARED
This drawing is of a dog baring its teeth at a vet appointment. It uses a near-monochromatic red color palette. This drawing is a metaphor for someone's emotions being invalidated and silenced by others. I made this drawing to challenge my ability to visualize different kinds of emotions, this one being anger and frustration.

Waiting for the Train
This features a girl attempting to sip alcohol from a glass. The values are bright, which creates a sense of overexposure and contrasts significantly with the dark shadows. This painting represents a person who believes they are in control of their poor drinking habits, blissfully unaware of the chaos and harm they are causing.

Fuorinorma
This is a painting of a meat platter that I had with a friend of mine on a trip. Although the meaning of this painting is fairly shallow, I created it with the intention of practicing texture and fine details.

Waiting for the Train
This painting captures three girls waiting at a train stop. They are going out to a party, as hinted by the objects they are holding and the ones surrounding them. The purplish-blue color palette and faceless composition evoke excitement and mystery. I made this painting to challenge my knowledge of perspective, color theory, and storytelling.

The Little Things
This drawing features leaves, flowers, and a dragonfly. I made it in an illustrative style featuring lots of textured lines and circles. The color palette is very bright and happy. I made this painting at the beginning of spring, inspired by the nature popping back up around me. Because most of my art is realistic nowadays, I wanted to go back to my stylistic techniques.

Listen to the Wind Blow
This illustration was inspired by the song "The Wind" by P.J. Harvey. The song has eerie, mysterious themes. I chose to represent this by depicting a chapel floating on an isolated piece of earth. The song compares the sound of whales to the sound of wind blowing, and I used the same symbolism in my piece.
