LOU

I created an album of pre-existing music for the band Sublime. I focused on finding metaphors and creating physical visuals based directly on my concept, which was the substance abuse that Bradley Nowell faced and how his dog, Lou, whom he mentions frequently in his songs, helped him cope with his problems.

Everything within the design for this project is hand-made and photographed before being organized for the packaging. I hand-drew all of the illustrations as well as the typography. To make the cover art, I smashed a glass bottle and piped Karo syrup through a syringe. It was so fun!
